Dominic Fletcher runs to first base in game vs. Cleveland Guardians

The White Sox bats came out hot in the 1st inning of the ballgame. Lenyn Sosa got things going with an RBI double to score Robbie Grossman. Andrew Vaughn singled next to plate Yoán Moncada. Korey Lee got in on the fun with a single of his own to bring in Sosa. Kevin Pillar would then hit a 2 RBI double to score Vaughn and Lee, making the score 5–0.

However, the Guardians would fight their way back.

In the bottom on the 1st, Josh Naylor hit a 2-run home run. Later in the bottom of the 3rd inning, Tyler Freeman singled to score José Ramírez to bring Cleveland within 2. The Guardians would tie the game at 5 in the bottom of the 4th inning on a Steven Kwan RBI single and a José Ramírez RBI single.

Dominic Fletcher came up clutch in the top of the 8th inning with a 2-run RBI double to bring home Korey Lee and Andrew Benintendi. Sox take the lead 7–5.

Michael Kopech made sure the Sox kept the lead, notching a 2-inning save while striking out the side in the 8th and froze José Ramírez on the final out of the game.

White Sox pitching had a solid outing all around. Michael Soroka got the start and went 3.2 inning and struck out 4 Guardians. Tim Hill finished out the 4th inning and Jordan Leasure got the 5th and 6th. Leasure struck out one over this 2.0 IP. Steven Wilson fanned 3 and earned the win.
